Another great addition to our growing rangebof collectible pin badges. This time Sir Michael Caine is in the frame. A striking and much loved image from his character in Zulu.
SIR MICHAEL CAINE
Born in 1933 in Rotherhithe, London. Maurice Joseph Micklewhite Jr took on the stage name Michael Caine. He did two years National Service from 1952 to 1954, (National Service, virtually anyone who didn't have flat feet or VD did their bit) serving with the Royal Fusiliers in Iserlohn, Germany and on active service during the Korean War. He is a keen supporter of bringing back National Service.
Other info - Did you know Sir Michael was a lieutenant at the battle of Rorke's Drift. He also commanded an Irish Guards Battalion in Operation Market Garden, then he became a spy in the 60’s after which he began driving mini’s and robbing banks. Not a lot of people know that… they do know!!
25mm diameter and 12mm thick enamel pin badge with clutch fixing.
These would make a great addition to anyone's wardrobe. A striking and original gift.
