In fact, even now when I read an RSM quote from the past I often word it in my head in a Welsh ascent and I bet I’m not on my own. But did he ever make it from BSM to RSM, Did he serve? Yes of course he did.
Windsor Davis was called up for national service between 1950-52 serving in Libya and Egypt with the East Surrey Regiment. It was in the army that he found he was a naturally gifted Mimic. Impersonating officers. If he had stayed in the army, I’m sure he would have made it to RSM and certainly feature in the Ultimate RSM stakes! But maybe we’d have never heard of him if he had chosen that path.
